The Situation

The customer is providing transport solutions for the mining industry, primarily in the highlands of Peru. Large volumes of minerals and concentrate are transported from the mines located in the interior to the ports by the pacific.

LOTS was engaged in an initiative to assess a current logistic flow from mine to unloading station. The operations carries approximately 2 million tonnes of mineral concentrate per year.

The Approach

LOTS assessed the current logistic flow by mapping all processes in the supply chain from mine to unloading station.

Operational process waste and technical improvements was analyzed, combining latest technology with site studies and interviews.
