Reducing costs by 15% in sugarcane transports, Brazil
The Client decided to reach out to LOTS to support them in creating a more lean and efficient logistic operations
The Client owns and operates a family owned company in the sugarcane industry in Sao Paulo state. The Company grows sugarcane and refines it into three products; sugar, ethanol and electrical energy. The Client owns and operates two industries and has a revenue of over 1.2 BBRL (2016).
As the logistic cost represents a big part of The Company’s total cost, they decided to reach out to LOTS to support them in creating a more lean and efficient logistic operations.
LOTS took a systematic approach to the problem and started with an assessment of The Company’s logistics which showed a significant potential to reduce cost in the logistic flow from field to industry.
As a result of the assessment, LOTS were given the opportunity to help The Company develop a new control tower to help manage the logistic flow of sugarcane and capture the identified potential.
