TLV (TimmerLogistikVäst) and LOTS will each become stronger when Simon Simonsson, MD of TLV, takes responsibility for Lots Group’s forestry business in Sweden. The additional customers and vehicles from TLV further supports Lots quest for continuous development of methods and tools for optimization within the logistic chain.
- At Lots Group we are very satisfied that we have been able to bring TLV into the fold of our existing business. They contribute with competence, experience and contacts within the forestry sector. Now we can focus more energy on our international development and improving our existing business together with our customer and partners, says Martin Lewerth CEO Lots Group, who adds that in addition the merger frees up time to focus more on the tool and method development side of the business.
- For us at TLV it is a natural step to take says MD Simon Simonsson. We have grown to a size where we need to think differently as to how to continue moving forward. Together with Lots we will get better access to digital support and a better understanding for the optimization techniques and application of Lean within logistics. At the same time we can contribute with our depth of understanding and experience within the forestry and round wood logistics sector.
For TLV this merger comes with few visible changes. The haulers will continue to operate under the TLV logo, customers will continue to have their contracts with TLV and the operations will still be run from western Sweden where they have historically been. The difference is that together the two companies will be better positioned to develop digital tools that will support the forestry business in Sweden. The combined competence in logistics, Lean, timber transport and forestry will be strengthened greatly.
Lots continues to offer a broad range of consultancy services within the logistics and supply chain field and to offer full service control tower and road transport services together with haulers and their customers.
